Genetic Sonogram

A genetic Sonogram is usually undertaken when the down syndrome risk has increased from an ultrasound screening test.

In this examination, an ultrasound is carried out to diagnose specific ultrasound characteristics like nasal bone, nuchal fold, Aberrant Right Subclavian Artery, and minor ventriculomegaly.

Specific characteristics are examined which detect whether the risk of down syndrome is more or loss.

At the end of the examination, a new possibility for the risk of down syndrome is given.
