Welcome to Dr. Aditi's Fetal Medicine Centre

Dr. Aditi’s Fetal Medicine Centre in George Town, Prayagraj scans on the GE HealthCare Voluson Expert 20, a premium women’s health ultrasound system built specifically for fetal medicine. It brings together HDlive Studio 4D rendering, Radiantflow colour Doppler and AI-assisted measurement to support earlier, clearer answers during pregnancy.

An ultrasound report is only as reliable as the image the doctor is reading.
In fetal medicine, the structures being examined are often only a few millimetres across. A four-chamber heart at twenty weeks. A nuchal fold at twelve weeks. The cavum septi pellucidi in a developing brain. Small differences in image quality change what can be seen, and when it can be seen.
That is why this centre invested in the Voluson Expert 20. It is GE HealthCare’s premium system for women’s health, and it is the class of machine used in fetal medicine units that manage complex and high-risk pregnancies.
Anatomy that older systems resolve at twenty weeks can often be assessed sooner.
Higher BMI, previous caesarean scarring or an awkward fetal position stay readable.
Measurements are captured properly the first time, so you are called back less often.

Every scan begins in 2D ultrasound. The Expert 20 runs on GE’s Lyric Architecture, which raises penetration and resolution together, so tissue boundaries stay defined deeper into the image.
A feature called Augment reduces background noise without flattening detail. That matters in the situations that are hardest to scan: a higher BMI, scar tissue from a previous caesarean, or a baby lying in an awkward position. Clarity there is often the difference between a confident report and a repeat appointment.

3D ultrasound captures a volume, so a structure can be studied from angles a live 2D sweep cannot hold still long enough to show.
HDlive Silhouette renders fluid-filled and internal structures as semi-transparent, so the diaphragm, the ventricles or a cystic area can be seen in relation to everything around them. Skeletal rendering shows the spine as one continuous structure, which is how vertebral alignment and limb anatomy are checked.

HDlive Studio is the feature parents notice first. It works by placing a movable light source inside the rendered image, so your baby’s face and hands are lit the way a real object is lit, with soft shadow and natural skin tone instead of flat grey. On the 23.8 inch screen you watch it live, in the room, at the same moment we do.
It is more than a keepsake. The same lighting that makes a face look real also makes a cleft lip, a clenched hand or an unusual facial profile easier to recognise. More on 4D ultrasound in Prayagraj.

Radiantflow presents blood flow with depth and shading rather than as a flat colour wash, so vessels read as the three-dimensional structures they are. SlowflowHD detects very slow movement in very small vessels, which is how placental and early fetal circulation is assessed.
Flow Profiles applies the correct Doppler settings for a chosen vessel in a single step, so the umbilical artery, middle cerebral artery and ductus venosus are measured the same way at every visit.
A great deal of what matters in a pregnancy is decided between eleven and thirteen weeks.
SonoNT measures nuchal translucency automatically. Instead of callipers placed by hand, the system identifies the correct plane and takes the measurement to a fixed standard. That removes much of the operator-to-operator variation in a measurement which feeds directly into your Down syndrome risk calculation.
Dr. Aditi Dubey is certified by the UK Fetal Medicine Foundation for first trimester screening, and the system is configured to that same standard. More about the NT scan and the genetic sonogram.

A fetal echocardiogram asks a specific question: have four chambers, two outflow tracts and the great vessels formed and connected correctly?
Identifying a cardiac difference before delivery changes what happens next: where you deliver, who is in the room, and how quickly treatment can begin. See our fetal cardiology service.
SonoCNS takes a single 3D volume of the head and automatically aligns the standard views used to assess the fetal brain, then places the standard measurements.
The transventricular, transthalamic and transcerebellar planes come out consistently rather than depending on probe angle, and the cavum septi pellucidi, cerebellum and cisterna magna are measured the same way each time. It also means less time with the probe on your abdomen.
The Expert 20 carries GE’s SonoLyst tools, built on Intelligent Ultrasound’s AI technology.
Recognises anatomy as the scan is happening, annotates it, and marks it off the list of views the protocol requires. Nothing is missed because it was overlooked.
Works after the image is frozen, applying ISUOG practice guidelines to identify the view and enter the data into the report.
Places callipers automatically for biparietal diameter, head and abdominal circumference, femur and humerus length, cerebellum, cisterna magna and lateral ventricle.
Taken together, GE reports these can reduce second trimester anatomy scan time by up to 30 percent. The more useful effect is consistency. When you return at twenty-eight weeks and again at thirty-four, growth is being compared across measurements taken in exactly the same way. This is also what supports a thorough Level II scan.
None of this replaces clinical judgement. The system proposes, Dr. Aditi confirms, adjusts or overrules. Every measurement in your report has been reviewed by the doctor.

The same system is used for gynaecological assessment.
The probes and the volume imaging are the same ones used in pregnancy. What changes is the question being asked: the position of a fibroid rather than the position of a baby, the shape of the uterine cavity rather than the shape of a heart.
Builds a three-dimensional map of each fibroid, its size and its relationship to the endometrium, then classifies it by the FIGO system surgeons use to plan treatment.
Automates pelvic floor assessment through AI-driven plane alignment and measurement. GE reports it can cut examination time by up to 80 percent versus a manual exam.
Renders the shape of the uterine cavity, which is how a septate, bicornuate or arcuate uterus is identified. Often relevant in recurrent miscarriage and fertility assessment.

Equipment does not read a scan. A doctor does.
Dr. Aditi Dubey is M.B.B.S., M.S. (OBG), fellowship trained in fetal medicine, and certified by the UK Fetal Medicine Foundation for first trimester screening. She performs the scan herself and interprets it herself.
The Voluson Expert 20 is the instrument she examines with. A good instrument in experienced hands is what gives you an answer you can act on.

We use the GE HealthCare Voluson Expert 20, a premium ultrasound system designed specifically for women’s health and fetal medicine. It supports 2D, 3D and 4D imaging, HDlive Studio rendering, Radiantflow and SlowflowHD colour Doppler, and AI-assisted measurement tools.
Standard 4D produces a moving three-dimensional image in flat grey or a single tint. HDlive Studio adds a light source that can be moved around the baby, creating natural shadow and skin tone. The result looks closer to a photograph, and the added contrast also helps in assessing facial anatomy.
It improves what can be seen and how consistently it can be measured, which supports a more reliable assessment. The interpretation still depends on the doctor’s training and experience. No ultrasound, on any system, can detect every possible condition.
Higher BMI does make scanning more difficult on any system. The Lyric Architecture and Augment features on the Voluson Expert 20 are designed for these conditions, improving penetration and reducing noise, so useful images are usually obtainable where an older system would struggle.
Yes. Selected images can be sent straight to your mobile phone through a QR code generated by the system, alongside printed images.
3D and 4D scans use the same ultrasound energy as a standard 2D scan. Scans at this centre are performed by a qualified doctor for a clinical reason, following recognised safety practice on exposure time and output.
